Sruta - World's First Android Tablet With USB 3.0

World’s First Tablet With USB 3.0 Port – Launched By Indian Company Asmaitha


Asmaitha which is a Bangaluru based Indian company has launched the Sruta, World's First Android tablet with USB 3.0 port. The Sruta tablet developed by Indian enterprise is also a low-cost ($200) Android tablet. The Ashmaitha Sruta is ear-marked for a commercial launch towards the end of the year 2012. The existence of Ashmaitha Sruta came to know  via ST-Ericsson booth at MWC 2012. The prototype is available for a display and to have a hands-on experience. According to company, the Sruta is a 7-inch tablet and they have plans to introduce a 10-inch slate simultaneously.

    • Sensors : G-Sensor (Accelerometer),E-Compass Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor,Proximity Sensor,Gyroscope, GPS
    • Internal Memory : 1 GB LP DDR RAM, 8GB eMMC
    • External Memory : Card slot for microSD (supports upto 32 GB )
    • Headphone: 3.5mm stereo headset/headphone/microphone jack
    • Battery: Rechargeable 6000 mAh (typical) battery
    • Wireless Connectivity: 3G, BT, WIFI, GPS, FM
    • Speakers: Internal stereo speakers
    • Connector: Charger/ micro USB connector with USB 2.0 Hi-Speed ( Optional USB 3.0)

    The Asmaitha Sruta tablet will be launched by mid 2012 and is expected to cost around Rs. 9900 in Indian currency (Approx. US $200)
