Amazon updated their new Kindle Fire product . Kindle Fire HD 7”. This 7 inch tablet comes with a HD display, improved Wi-Fi, improved HD audio featuring Dolby Digital Plus Audio, Dual Antenna Wifi and offers 16 or 32 GB of storage. It packs a 1.2GHz processor that Amazon brags outperforms the Tegra 3 from Texas Instruments with .

The Android UI has been also highly modified in order to be more focused on Amazon’s content. but since the device is not certified by Google , users would not have access to popular Android features and Google services such as Gmail , Google Maps etc. They don’t come with Play Store and there’s no way to install it, other than rooting the device.
If you are looking to buy a Kindle Fire HD and use it in India or in any country outside the US be warned that most of the features are US only.
The 16GB version will cost $199 and the 32GB version will cost $249.
Pricing seems identical to the Google Nexus 7.
